Welcome to the “Plan ₿ Tech School”, an annual Bitcoin-centered educational program curated by Giacomo Zucco and the Plan ₿ Network. With more than 73 hours of instruction spread across 25 lectures, this curriculum provides a comprehensive exploration of Bitcoin's fundamentals and practical applications, specifically tailored for future startup-builders, STEM students and engineers/scientists willing to work in the growing Bitcoin ecosystem in technical roles: from cyber-security to P2P-engineering, from back-end to front-end development, from cryptography to FLOSS practices. The desired target spans from students looking into a first internship, to established developers looking to apply their skills and knowledge in the new Bitcoin economy.

Our courses will feature insights from world-famous experts who will contribute as guest lecturers, offering valuable perspectives on Bitcoin's principles and its potential impact on the global economy, beyond the hype and the buzzwords, focusing on the signal. From the theoretical understanding of the basis of the technology, to the practical exploration of tools, services, libraries, implementations and best practices, participants will gain a thorough understanding of this disruptive phenomenon, learning about its technological foundations, engineering implications, and usaibily challenges.

Lectures will all take place in English, from November to December 2024, with both physical and online access options. These curricular lectures will take place during Mondays and Tuesdays, in the Plan ₿ Hubs of Lugano (CH) and San Salvador (SV), while the guest lectures will happen across the network of Plan ₿ Nodes, including Turin (IT), Prospera (HN), and Taipei (TW). Partial and total scholarships will be available, through partner institutions and organizations in different countries, to ensure talent-based strategic inclusivity.

Participants will be assigned projects to be evaluated by a board of our partner companies. Completing the program will give right to a specific Diploma that our partner companies will take into account when selecting employees, start-up founders and service providers to work with. The 21 best students will be selected to participate at the exclusive, in-person San Salvador Plan ₿ Winter School, during the third week of January.

Though non-participants can access guest lectures through the Events page, Plan ₿ Tech School participants receive these lectures as part of their program. The current lineup includes Adam Gibson, Jon Atak, Peter Todd, Alekos Filini, Vincenzo Palazzo, and Rockstardev, with more speakers to be announced.

All the content of the School will be eventually released under an Open Source licence on our Plaftorm. Stay tuned for the other half of the Plan ₿ Network educational offer, the “Plan ₿ Biz School” targeting marketers, managers, market analysts, legal experts and biz-focused students, to be deployed in the spring (May to July 2025).
