Bitcoin Dada was founded by Lorraine Marcel, a passionate advocate for financial inclusion, after realizing the stark gender gap in the Bitcoin and blockchain space. Her journey began in rooms where women were either absent or significantly underrepresented, reinforcing a hard truth—financial innovation was moving forward, but women were being left behind. Determined to change this narrative, she set out to create a space where African women could access Bitcoin education, build careers, and become leaders in the industry.
