Pick n Pay (PnP), a major South African retailer, began accepting bitcoin in 2024. Through the Lightning Network, payments are faster and come with lower fees than credit cards. They first tested bitcoin in 2017, but the tech back then was less mature. With Lightning, they’ve now seen strong customer uptake, working with MoneyBadger for integration.
