You are probably familiar with Rumble, the online video platform founded in 2013, which has gradually established itself as an independent alternative to Big Tech. Known for its commitment to free speech and its goal of offering creators a space free from censorship and dependence on large centralized infrastructures, Rumble has built a complete ecosystem. Today, Rumble is taking a new step into the financial realm with the launch of Rumble Wallet, a wallet application developed in partnership with Tether.
The ambition is clear: to combine freedom of speech with financial freedom. While Rumble promotes uncensored content distribution online, Rumble Wallet aims to provide creators and users with a fast, sovereign, non-custodial payment system. In practice, this means you retain full control over your private keys—and therefore your funds—without relying on a bank, payment processor, or third-party platform: fewer risks, lower fees, and no withdrawal delays.

1. What is Rumble Wallet?

Rumble Wallet is a mobile wallet primarily designed for the creator economy—that is, for people who publish, stream, or share online content. While centralized platforms impose their own monetization models, Rumble Wallet introduces a direct approach: creators can enable a Tipping Jar and instantly receive payments from their audience. These revenues flow without intermediaries, directly from the fan to the creator, guaranteeing complete independence.
Beyond content creators, Rumble Wallet is also an excellent solution for any Bitcoin user. It currently supports three cryptocurrencies available across multiple networks: Bitcoin, USDT, and XAUT (Tether Gold). The application also integrates a swap feature, allowing users to easily exchange between these different assets without ever leaving Rumble Wallet.
Thanks to a partnership with MoonPay, it is also possible to buy and sell Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies directly from the app.

2. How to install Rumble Wallet?

The application can be installed on both Android and iOS through their respective official stores.

3. Initializing Rumble Wallet

When launching the app, you can either restore an existing wallet using your mnemonic phrase or sign in with your Rumble account. In this guide, we will create a new wallet, so select "Continue with Rumble".
You will then be prompted to sign in with your Rumble account. If you don’t have one yet, click "Sign up". Otherwise, simply enter your login credentials.
Once logged in, you will need to back up your Bitcoin wallet to ensure you can recover access in case your smartphone is lost or stolen. Rumble Wallet offers two backup methods:
  • Save your encrypted mnemonic phrase on the Rumble Cloud. You can then recover your wallet simply by signing back into your Rumble account.
  • Use the traditional method: manually write down your 12-word mnemonic phrase.
Once you’ve made your choice, click "Proceed".
Be careful: if you choose the manual backup method, you are solely responsible for securing this phrase. It grants full access to your funds, and anyone who has it can steal them—even without access to your phone or Rumble account. If you chose this method, click "Reveal Seed Phrase" to display your phrase. Make sure no one is watching during this step.
Rumble Wallet then displays your 12-word mnemonic phrase on the screen. This phrase allows you to restore access to your bitcoins in case of loss, theft, or damage to your phone. It is therefore crucial to back it up carefully and store it in a safe place.
You can write it down on paper, or for greater security, engrave it on a stainless steel plate to protect it against fire, water, or physical damage. The choice of storage medium depends on your security strategy: if you use Rumble as a spending wallet with moderate amounts, a paper backup will be more than sufficient.
To learn more about best practices for backing up and managing a mnemonic phrase, I strongly recommend checking out this tutorial, especially if you’re new to Bitcoin:
Once your backup is complete, click "Done! I've properly saved my Seed Phrase".
You now have access to Rumble Wallet.

4. Verifying your wallet backup (optional)

If you chose the manual backup method with the seed phrase (and not via Rumble Cloud), I strongly recommend performing a recovery test while your wallet is still empty. This will ensure that your paper backup indeed allows you to recover access to your Bitcoin wallet in case of loss, theft, or damage to your phone.
Warning: this process should only be done with an empty wallet containing no bitcoin or USDT!
To begin, click the "Receive" button and select, for example, "Bitcoin".
Rumble Wallet will then display your first Bitcoin receiving address, derived from your seed. Note the first and last characters of this address, which starts with bc1q....
Next, deliberately uninstall the application from your phone, then reinstall it to test the recovery process.
When the app launches, click "Continue with Rumble".
Log in, then select the "Import seed phrase manually" option.
Carefully enter your 12-word mnemonic phrase exactly as you wrote it down, then click "Confirm Seed Phrase".
If the message "We didn't find a backup!" appears on the screen, it means your backup contains an error. In that case, restart from step 3 of this tutorial to create a new wallet and correctly write down your new phrase.
If you successfully restore your Rumble Wallet, go back to the "Receive" section and select "Bitcoin".
If the receiving address displayed is identical to the one you noted at the beginning of this step, you can be certain that your 12-word mnemonic phrase backup is correct and fully functional.

5. Receiving and Sending Bitcoin on Rumble Wallet

On Rumble Wallet, you can receive bitcoins either on-chain or via Spark for fast and low-fee payments. To do so, click the "Receive" button.
Choose the wallet where you want to receive the funds.
Then select the cryptocurrency you wish to receive. In this example, I’ll choose Bitcoin.
You can then choose between receiving on-chain or via Spark. Here, I’ll select to receive my funds on-chain.
Next, copy the receiving address and send it to the payer, or simply let them scan the QR code displayed on your screen with their own wallet.
From Rumble Wallet’s home page, you can view your different accounts: BTC, USDT, and XAUT.
We can see here that I’ve successfully received sats on-chain.
To send bitcoins, the procedure is just as simple: click the "Send" button, either from your Bitcoin account or directly from the home page.
Then choose the cryptocurrency to send and the corresponding network. In my case, I’m sending BTC on-chain. Enter the amount you wish to transfer.
Paste the recipient’s address or scan their QR code by clicking on the corresponding icon, then press "Confirm".
Carefully review the transaction details, then confirm the send.
Your transaction has been broadcast. You can track its progress and confirmations on a block explorer using the TXID displayed on the next screen.

6. Swapping Bitcoin on Rumble Wallet

As you can see at the top of your Bitcoin account, Rumble Wallet offers much more than just receiving and sending bitcoin: it also allows you to exchange your BTC for fiat currencies directly from the wallet via its MoonPay integration. You can also convert your BTC into USDT or XAUT, and vice versa, all without leaving the app.

6.1. Swapping Between Cryptocurrencies

For example, if you wish to convert your BTC into USDT, go to your Bitcoin account and click on the "Swap" button. This button is available from each of your accounts.
Enter the amount you want to exchange, select the cryptocurrency you wish to receive, and choose the network on which you’d like to receive it. Once all parameters are set, click "Continue".
Carefully check the details of your swap, then click "Swap" to confirm the operation.
Your swap is now being processed.

6.2. Swapping for Fiat Currency

From your Bitcoin account, you can also buy BTC with fiat currency, or conversely, sell your satoshis. To buy, simply click the "Buy" button.
Select your local currency, enter the amount you wish to purchase, then click "Proceed".
During your first use, you will need to connect your MoonPay account. Once the purchase is confirmed, your bitcoins will automatically be credited to your Rumble Wallet.
In the same way, you can sell your bitcoins for euros, dollars, or any other fiat currency. To do this, click the "Cashout" button, then specify the amount and desired currency.

7. Tipping a Creator on Rumble

As mentioned in the introduction, Rumble Wallet is perfectly integrated with the Rumble video platform. This allows you to easily send tips in Bitcoin or USDT to your favorite creators without going through any intermediaries.
To do this, you need to activate the Tip Jars feature. From the Rumble Wallet home page, click on the "Activate Tip Jars" button.
Enter your name if it hasn’t already been filled in on your Rumble account.
Next, select the wallet where you would like to receive potential tips as a creator, then click "Enable Tip Jars".
On the home page, you will see a list of all the Rumble accounts you follow. To send a tip, simply click "Send Tip".
Choose the source wallet from which you want to send your tip.
Select the cryptocurrency you wish to use.
Enter the amount, then confirm by clicking "Confirm".
Review the details of your transaction and click "Confirm Transfer".
Your tip has been sent successfully!
You can also reward your favorite creators directly on the Rumble platform, either from the website or the mobile app. To do so, go to the creator’s profile or under one of their videos and click the "Tip" button.
Then, scan the QR code with your Rumble Wallet to send your donation.
If you wish to send the tip using another Bitcoin wallet, click "Tip with another crypto wallet".

8. Receiving Tips from Rumble

Are you a content creator on Rumble? You can now accept tips from your fans in BTC, USDT, and XAUT through Rumble Wallet. To do so, simply create a wallet on Rumble Wallet using your Rumble account, as explained in step 3 of this tutorial. Once your account is set up, click on the "Enable Tip Jars" button — that’s it! The "Tip" button will automatically appear on your Rumble profile and below your videos.
From Rumble Wallet, click on your "Tip Jar" account to view the tips you’ve received.
From within Rumble Wallet, you can then exchange these tips for fiat currency through MoonPay, convert them into other cryptocurrencies, transfer them to another external wallet, or simply keep them safely here — since you alone control this wallet.
You now know everything about Rumble Wallet!
Owning a self-custodial wallet like Rumble Wallet is an essential step, but it’s only the beginning of your Bitcoin journey.
