How to Create a Bitcoin Community

Putting up posters in your city

In several European countries (including Germany, Spain, and France) bitcoiners have taken the initiative to put up posters around their cities. Some designs rework Banksy's art to include the Bitcoin logo.
One example is StreetCyberArt, a German bitcoiner who has been creating collages and street art for several years.
If you want to get into street postering, make sure you understand your country's laws. In France, for example, posters may only be placed on public billboards. In other places, it's entirely prohibited and punishable by a fine. If you do decide to push the boundaries and hope not to be caught "in the act", avoid including any identifying information (such as your meet-up name or @Twitter) on the posters.
Also note that printing these posters on a personal printer usually results in ink bleeding and rapid deterioration outdoors. The best approach is to work with a professional printer who can produce them on special self-adhesive paper designed for outdoor use, ensuring both quality and durability.
This initiative can be costly over 0.40€ per poster (about 40€ for a hundred posters) and online prices can vary from double to five times that amount. Good contacts are essential.
As mentioned above, French bitcoiner @Mill3sim3 has the right professional equipment and can be contacted for details.
Alternatively, a more DIY option is to make a stencil from a large piece of cardboard and use spray paint to tag your design in select spots around your city.
