Planning to organize a meet-up in the coming weeks?
Here's a checklist to help you prepare:
1/ Confirm the venue
Contact the location where you'll host the event and reserve it for the estimated number of attendees.
2/ Announce the event:
- Share the date, time, and location on your social networks and other communication channels. Include a registration link if needed.
- Create a dedicated visual (Canva poster for example, see part 2/8 "Designing an identity for your Bitcoin community").
- Maximize visibility by pinning the announcement on Telegram and Twitter, and using an "@everyone" mention on Discord.
- Post announcements 7 to 10 days before the event so attendees can plan ahead.
3/ Remind your audience
Two to three days before the event, re-share and retweet your announcements to boost visibility.
4/ Update the venue
The day before (or two days prior), check your registrations and let the venue know the final expected number of participants.
Extra steps to make your event stand out:
- Print flyers and/or posters
- Prepare a presentation on a specific topic
- Organize an activity or workshop
