So, your community is up and running. You've set up your Telegram or Matrix space... but for now, you're the only one there. Time to let people know you exist!
It's simple: if no one is able to access your group and see when the next meet-up is happening, you'll just be posting into the void. That's why social media, and a few specific platforms we'll cover later, are so important for building your community.
Twitter (X) has become almost synonymous with Bitcoin conversation online. It's not perfect, far from it, but it's currently where a large portion of the community gathers. Creating an account there is strongly recommended.
To stay ahead of possible censorship or restrictions, some communities also open a NOSTR profile.
That's what the FREE Madeira collective has done.
Of course, other platforms can be useful too. Facebook (with either a group or a page), or even LinkedIn.
That said, keep in mind that the more communication channels and social networks you manage, the more time it requires. It's often better to focus on the most relevant ones, Twitter (and NOSTR) are great options to start with.
